About Mike
Moving all over the country as part of an Army family growing up enhanced my adaptability skills and instilled a passion for connecting with people from all walks of life. Family is important to me, and although we’re spread coast to coast, we’re all very close. I have a bachelor’s degree in marketing management from Virginia Tech University, and I spent four years in Iraq and Afghanistan working with the military. My love of the outdoors brought me to Colorado in 2002, and I bought my own home in Barnum West in 2009. All of these experiences have informed my unique style of providing clients straightforward service you can trust. I specialize in helping people navigate those transitional moments in their lives - whether that’s buying a first home, moving to Colorado, finding just the right 55+ retirement community or navigating the often-frustrating experience of foreclosure or short sale with ease.
My dog Maverick is my copilot, and when not serving clients, you can find me gardening during the growing seasons and skiing in the winter months. Soccer and sourdough are two of my other favorite “s” words.
I am guided each day by my values of integrity, advocacy, community-minded, real and eco-conscious, and these are reflected in my work.
About Maverick
Let’s be honest, I’m the brains of the operation here. Mike brings me along to listings sometimes, and it’s a lot of fun! I’m an 8-year-old mixed-breed rescue from 4 Paws 4 Life, where Mike was a volunteer. When we met for the first time, he was drawn to my calm, cool, collected style, and I liked that he gave good pets. Just like my human, I love people and especially kids. Mike’s nieces and nephews tackle me during play time, and besides giving them the occasional growl, mostly I take it in stride. I like exploring the outdoors with my human when he takes me hiking or fishing. If you ask Mike, sometimes I can be stubborn, my best buddy is a pug, and I can get a little too friendly with other dogs. And we’ve hung out with a lot of dogs – around 20 that we’ve fostered in our home. “He’s a super social dog,” Mike would say about me, and I would say the same about him, too!
I am guided each day by my values of unconditional love, friendship, adventure and belly rubs.
